Q: How much does the league cost to join?
A: Its free to "join" the league, but it costs $10/team each time you play.

Q: $10 is more than [insert your favorite pub here] charges for their quiz night.  Why should I pay more for your night?
A: All-Star Pop Culture is much, much more than a "Pub Quiz Night". Don't get us wrong, we love and frequent many around town.  But with us, you get more than just a classroom-like atmosphere of questions and answers.  Our night is filled with questions that are Pop Culture oriented, in a multi-media presentation like no other.  In addition, 25% of the $10 you pony up each week goes towards the Winner of each Division, and 25% goes to the Championship Prize awarded at the end of the season.  100% of all money collected from the teams is available for them to win.

Q: What if I can't play every week?
A: We allow anyone who has previously played on your team to carry on the team name.  That means if  you are sick, or out of town, or have a hot date and don't want to let them know you're a Pop Culture junkie until the 4th date (our recommendation, too), then just get at least one other person from your team to come by with some friends and we'll record their score under the team name.

Q: The season is half over, is it worth it to come and play still?
A: Absolutely, for several reasons: You can still win the night and earn some nice cash.  You can also wrack up those points and try to qualify (we'll reveal some bonus point earners as the season progresses).  And lastly, you can get some good intel on the other teams for next season!

Q: That guy at the bar looks smart... can he be on my team?
A: While we do allow you to choose anyone for your team each night, we require at least one player to have played on the team a previous night in order to use the team name, and collect points for that team.

Q: I think the Quiz Master was wrong the other night, can I get my score changed?
A: Our Quiz Masters are the smartest people we know.  But they are human, and therefore do make errors.  If you'd like to lodge a dispute, you can do so on the Scores page.  Please utilize this method of disputing answers, rather than bringing it up on Quiz Night (see the Nightly Rules section).

Q: How do the "Divisions" affect my team's ranking?
A: With the addition of more "Divisions" to the league, the competitiveness gets more intense.  But each team is not put in a more difficult position with regards to making the Post-Season.  Teams from each Division of the league only compete against other teams in their own Division.  The rankings after each week of play will represent the order of teams for each Division, and each Division will have it's own ranking list.

Q: How does my team make the post season?
A: WAt the close of the 11th wwek of qualifying weeks, the top 2 teams from each Division will be invited to compete in the Final Four round with hopes of qualifying for the Championship.  Post Season will be held in Seattle, all on a single night.

Q: I love All-Star Pop Culture!  Is there anyway you can do it at other locations?
A: This season we are trying out a second "Division" of the league, in San Francisco.  It is our hopes that other cities come on board as new Division in future season.   If you are interested in having it at your place, email us and we'll see if we can make it happen.

Q: Where do you get your questions?
A: All of the questions in play are created by ASPC staff.

Q: What software do you use for the quiz presentation?
A: Apple's Keynote

Q: Once I get to Jillian's on Thursday, what do I do?
A: Find the location within the club we are playing(ask at the front counter if you can't find it), grab a sign-in sheet from the Quiz Master, fill out your Team Name, the names of the players on your team for the evening, and your Bonus Question points, turn it in to the QM with your $10, grab some food and a beer and let the good times roll.  Remember to get there a bit early as game play begins promptly at 7pm.

Q: You guys rock!  How can I advertise on your site, or in the quiz presentation?
A: All the advertising information is here.

Q: I'm supposed to be getting a weekly email, but I never receive it?
A: If you signed up online (here), and still aren't receiving the email, then you should check your SPAM folder. If you still aren't receiving the email, write to us using the account you'd like to receive the emails at.  If you've participated in one of our nights but never signed up through this site, you must do so to receive the weekly emails.  Its very easy.

Q: Can I hire you for a Corporate Event or a Private Party?
A: Absolutely! For a nominal fee, we can design a custom trivia night just for you.  We come in with everything needed, minus the Monitor and PA (for multi-media).  Please email us for more details and a quote.
